I would go with the PPC PowerBook. I had a 1.83GHZ Core 2 Duo macbook and sold it for a PB 1.67GHZ High-Rez. You can get soo much more out of the powerbook:
PowerBook 1.67GHZ DL Superdrive FW 400, 800 DVI out S-Video out Bigger Screen Most of these things, the new macbook won't have.
