Howdy,
Yes, several, wishful thinking, minor. It is kind of sad in a way, but
it has a silver lining. The dual processor 1.6GHz G5 I have been
wanting may get cheap enough for me to buy. There are people still
happily running 68K based macs. So, some of these options will appeal
to some people. G3 to G5 macs will still be used by millions of people
as long as they as working and useful and that will be several years
more. I doubt Google will directly support ChromeOS on a PPC
architecture, but it is mostly open source, so other people may.
ChromeOS is better suited for netbooks. A full Linux distro would be a
better choice for most people than ChromeOS. Tiger or Leopard will be
better for even more, until security updates stop coming.
Don't despair, It's always darkest just before it goes pitch black,
Ralph
