This is the very rock upon which all of the "Linux will take over the Desktop" stuff founders. Linux itself is a product made by, for and aimed at people who love working 'on' their computers. Yes there are easy-to-use distributions, but none of them have the staggering level of integration and polish that OS X does. Drag and drop, for example. In OS X you can drag and drop nearly ANYTHING from anywhere: a file, a clipping, a volume...and if it won't work you get visible notification that it won't work, and it does work in A LOT more places than people imagine. And it's built-in. Any Mac application can take advantage of this feature. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
