I've done a little cleaning and GPU swapping in my dear old DA. The first card I was using was the ATi retail AGP card that I liked, but it's way slow for Leo, but is great for Panther and OS 9. Now I've switched back to my Geforce4 ti 4600 that is way more snappy for Leo, but doesn't play some of my iTunes movies as well as some of the others. The Movies that don't play as well are Movies that have a Higher total bit rate* and larger video Dimension, example: 851x480 doesn't play as well as a movie that's 640x272.
So, my question is can I find a vid card that *is Mac OS 9 compatible with full graphics acceleration *and can play my iTunes movies that require better GPU speed without going to the 9800 Pro and losing full GPU acceleration in OS 9? Maybe the 9000 ATi? I also finally removed the slot cooler, that sounded like a air conditioner. (Ouch) I don't really like the Ti 4600 too much as it doesn't support RAVE fully in my older OS 9 games I play on occasion. Just wondering what's out there that others can recommend with similar setups and experience. BTW, the DA has a fast PowerLogix 800 MHz upgrade.
