Well, as I had mentioned I could not hear the other voice output cause of
the music, but if it was telling
me lap count or my position as being in first or third.
If not something to tell mehow many car length meI amay from the next
postion.
Say in ma in third place and want to know how far away second place is. a
number like 5 could be outputed by voice saying.
Your in third place second place is 5 car lengths.
A hot key could do this. A shift plus hotkey tell you position 4 say 17
cars lengths back.
If you were leading it both keys keys strokes just give you the second place
distance.

This info will allow you to decide if you need to charge or darive safe.
A leader hot key would help you know how far behind you are.. If you are
say a lap down then the car lengh would be in the hundreds..
Then if your in last the hot keys would give you the distance of the car
head and letting you know your in last place.

With all this input you can get a idea how your dong and what you need to do
before the next pit stop break.
A lot of different stratigy here to be used to make you win the race.
Winning a race is not just on being the fastest, but making the right calls.
Gas usage and tire wear are big factors and at the times you can save your
car to make charges to the front when needed.
Audio check ups to let you know your gas, Engine temp, and Revs. Tires is a
judgment call so really no audio is needed.
If these things were included with North's audio that be good.
If not to mess with these audio clips then the track announcer can give this
into about crashes.
Saying there is a crash on the back strech or in turn 2.. Also saying if
the crash is aginst the wall or middle or low on the track.
There could be just cars all over the place can could be refered to this as
well.. If we hear a red flag come out with out a yellow that will let the
driver know there is no way of getting through and drivrs must slow down to
a stop.

Lastly back on the start of a race, even before the green and climbing up
to speed , racers must warm up tires.
This is done and needed if the cars have been sitting for some time. When
the game starts as you said we will be starting slow before the green drops.
This may be a little quick. I susgest that the race starts with engine
idleing or the engine turns over when your place in the car. Then ina few
seconds the paradeof cars start to move. A specific sounds effect can let
you know the parade starts. This sounds ccould be the others cars rev up
hiher.
If you hapen to be on the pole the race parade will not start until you step
on the gas. this first lap which does not count in the race since the green
flap has not come out yet. This lap is to get the tires warmed up.
Drivers in the parade who may want the tires to heat up quickly will weave
back and forth.
Hearing a car head of you weaving should be heard. This may sound like a
car is gong frm one speaker to the other.. Cars will being doing this on
the straight aways for a few seconds at a time. So you can imagine most of
these moves
are done
in the middle of the straights not before turns.
If you happen not to to do this your car may not get as much as as other
cards when the green drops and taking turns may be more harder to grip.
ONce this lap is completed the pace car will gain speed and so does the
pack. During this time you may need to adjust your placement in the lineup
so the green flag can drop. If you are to high or low and not behind a car
that is lineup correctly the green should not come out. If you go to fast
and end up pass some onethe race can not start, but if to slow and you are
lineuped OK the flag man will give the green.
So, to help with this is to know your speed or pit cheif could let you know
to backoff or speed up a bit to get back in line.
This sould be part of Raceway, and if you don't get in line in the parade
after a few laps you white flag with a back stripe and the game then should
bring you to the pits for penities, so the other drivers can get the race
going.
This happens rarely, cause the cars are not going to have problems at the
start of the race and rookie drivers in real life will have enough skill to
not be able to keep in line.

The game could make sure you don't get to far out of lineup say by going to
fast or to slow and or to high or to low.

Leaving it up to the driver will keep it real and force the driver to have a
learning curve in the game AS a Sim or game you must master certain things
to move on to say the next level of play.
Getting practice on tracks then making the time trails to get into a race
the next step is able to drive around the track in a lineup before a race
starts.

AS the demo may not include this part of the race is understandable since
you want to get to what the game is all about.
