Hi Charles,
Yeah, the first year was rough, but things have settled down allot now
that Monte keys are going out and the customers that pre-ordered Monte
are at least civil with me now. Me and my wife are doing our best to get
keys to valid users even sometimes going the extra mile to make sure we
fulfill as many of those pre-orders from Alchemy as possible.
As for the bad tempered customers anyone who works with the general
public can tell you it is like that everywhere. When I was growing up my
mom use to work at fast food restaurants for a living and she would get
home from work and tell me story after story about how bad mannered,
rude, pushy, impatient, this or that customer was while she was on drive
threw or working up front with the cash register. If the person fixing
the sandwitches in the kitchen screwed up the customer's sandwitch my
mom got the blame. If it was in the middle of rush hour and the
restaurant was under staffed that day and the customner's food showed up
to late my mom got the blame. If the ice machine was empty my mom got
the blame. Basically customers would usually blame the person they saw
standing in the drive threw window or at the counter for all their
complaints rather than blaming the worker in the kitchen who screwed up
the sandwitch, the worker who's job it was for filling the ice machine,
blaming the weather for several employees going sick that day, etc.
When I was a teenager my mom quit fast food and went to work at
Wal-mart. While it was an improvement there were just as equally nasty
and bad tempered customers there as well. For example, she worked in the
one hour photo department. If you were just one millisecond over the one
hour time limit some customer or other would start making a stink about
they want there photos right now, I want to speak to your superviser,
etc. Never mind the fact that the photos won't finish developing for
another 5 minutes or so.
Bottom line, some people were natural born brats, with nasty
temperments, and even if they are adults someone needs to take them out
and give them a good spanking because they have the IQ and mentality of
a 3-year old who pitches a fit when he can't have a cookie before
dinner. In fact, given the choice I would take the tempermental 3-year
old as I have one and at least you can control their tempers by giving
them time out or whatever.
