I'd convert, however, just release the game in a playable state in 1.0  
with all the features we've been expecting for like four years now,  
and release 2.0 with the new engine in a better, stabler, language.

I'm currently listening to Mamacitas in my Valley by DiggiDis on the  
album Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64) and is currently  
Playing.
