Hi Will,
Not C++ (C Plus Plus) but C# (C-Sharp). Anyway, most of the exampls in the books will work just fine on Mac and Linux. The only hang up you may encounter is Mono's Cocoa accessibility interface for VoiceOver and Mac OS isn't as well developed as mono's GTK interface for Orca users on Linux. Fortunately, though you won't be working with full forms applications anyway. SDL has its own window drawing toolkit which you will use for Mac/Linux games.
