You have the wrong idea of what it means to be a christian. It is quite sad how some individuals give things, (like blindness or a specific religion) a bad name by acting odly or saying things like everybody in the group means it. I'm sure you've met that blind person that feels so sorry for him/herself that they "can't do anything". If you're that person I'll pray for you.

Christian stations have weather forecasts on them, so does this make them a
bit  on the hypocritical side?
