Not needing ammo is its main advantage, but in the 1.1b version
ammo isn't very hard to come by so the advantage isn't really
much of an advantage. In the next update the Axe is able to
block incoming attacks, plus ammo is a bit harder to find so that
people won't likely be running around with thousands of rounds
for each gun.
Is there any advantage of using the
axe besides hearing the cool slashing sound? I find it hard not
to be
attacked by zombies when using it. To make it worst, miss swings
are
counting against my accuracy stats.
