[gears-users] Gears doesn't work on Safari (Mac OS X 10.5.5)

I tried to install Gears but I can't get it to work on my system (Mac
OS X 10.5.5, Safari 3.1.2).

The Gears Enabler and the Gears Plugin are on their right places
under /Library/ but there is no menu entry in the Safari menu. If I
jump to the Gears home page, it tells me that Gears is installed. But
if I try to use it (e. g. the Turbo-mode of WordPress or Offline-mode
of RTM), it doesn't work.

Any ideas!
