Cox has reconfigured something. I am running Windoz 98 SE and the cable
stopped working yesterday. I called and the tech did something on his end
to correct the problem - something to do with DHCP, I think.
If you were in the early conversion from Jan. 23-30, it appears that they
configured your modem for the transition - not the permanent version of Cox!
At least that's what the tech told me.
Even the Level 1 tech's know about the problem.

I dunno.... Like I said, cable was working fine over here on both sides,
now dhcp is failing on the linux side only. Note that this is the SAME
machine running win98/mandrake8.0....

Linux seems to be running fine on cable here (didn't want to say cox,
because it just didn't sound right...) But I also have a router in between
me and it....
Could be something about their DHCP and your flavor linux.... Who knows
these daze...
