Welp, sounds like you have everything I have, other than my running Redhat 6.2 to your Mandrake (obviously with a Dlink in front of it). The only thing I haven't done is to try and duplicate your scenerio, by hooking my Linux directly to the cable modem (unfortunately, I'm no where near it at the moment). Definately a strange one... Though, come to think of it.... I know that Cox's next tier provider (basically who provides their connection) was having some routing problems on Sunday, no clue if they've got all the bugs worked out (this was from level 2 support) or if it's even relevant.
