I don't know if you've checked out 2003 Server lately, but it ships with many things unavailable and/or disabled. I haven't looked at it in around a year (we run 2000 server at work behind a number of firewall appliances) to be able to name the specifics, but I seem to remember certain things locked down by default. Chris Tortorich could answer those questions. This is good! Security was not nearly the issue in 1999 that it is today, and I'm glad to see improvement.
