Currently Apache is undergoing discussion about a reorganization. One of the things that we are discussing is incubation of new projects coming to Apache and how to bring new projects into our fold.
I suspect people are still deciding what to do and it may be the case that you could be one of the first projects to go through the incubation project. And then again it may not ;)
Anyways people could take a few days ot answer you so don't be discouraged if no one replies imediately ;)
