Hi Bill, The docs are a little vague I guess. The track name to be used there is actually the main table name for the track. (I'll get this corrected in the docs). So for "Human mRNAs", you should use "mrna".
To get the names, when you're in the genome browser, hover the mouse pointer over the track titles. The URL that appears for the tracks always ends with a "&g=table_name" (e.g. &g=mrna). Use the names given there. - Greg On 8/8/11 9:56 AM, Bill Biggs wrote: > Hi Greg, > > Wow, that was fast. > > Found this and, in fact, it has been very helpful:) > My problem is that I can't seem to find track names that work when used in > a browser hide track_name argumentŠ > > For example when working with the Human mRNAs track I tried the following > > browser hide Human mRNAs Does not cause the Human mRNAs track to > be hidden > > Is there still something wrong with this argument? > > Thanks, > bill > > > On 8/8/11 9:42 AM, "Greg Roe"<[email protected]> wrote: > >> Hi Bill, >> >> You're on the right track (no pun intended).
