Um, no. A file's true format is the bytes it contains; lying about
it in the file extension does not change the actual format of the
file. SaveStyledEditField on the Mac creates a SimpleText document;
if you force it to have a .doc extension, then you simply have a
SimpleText document with the wrong extension.
