I realize this, but if you change the creator and type, it would still open in Word, right?
I based my answer on whether or not *cheating* is an option. If he doesn't need a true Word document, but only wants it to open in Word, the true file type would be irrelevant. Styled EditFields are apparently saved as RTF (or a type of RTF) files on Windows and RTF files, and these, as well as plain text, open fine in Word. If he wants to do more than open the files in Word, then this might not be an option. To force someone to use Word or Word compatible program to read a document seems to be overkill for simply reading a file. _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
