so i had 2 pairs of glasses from eyebuydirect.
the one pair ('gary') were crooked - and since they're 'flexlite'
material - they can't be adjusted (the material has memory). returned
those.
a few days later I noticed i was getting a headache sometime 2 hours
after putting the other pair on.
so i checked the prescription at an optometrist. he said the axis is
off by more than 5 degrees in one eye.
when i told the eyebuydirect online agent that my axis was off in my
left eye, SHE told me that it couldn't be a problem with their lab
that it was probably a problem with my optometrists lens meter!!! she
said she would take it back under their policy, but this return could
only happen one time
(this irks me a bit because the lenses being wrong is an outright
error on their part - if they do it again they should replace it
again).
SO: now i"m returning the second pair.
I tried to get someone online a few days ago after I had the tracking
number for my shipment back to them. while in their online system it
went offline (hmmmm.....). then i sent an email.
two days passed. no response. today I managed to get someone online.
they said they would do the replacement.
now new problem. the rimless frame I wanted (the one where the axis
was wrong) is no longer in stock.
I asked the girl online if i could place an order for that frame with
my prescription and wait until it came in stock. SHE SAID NO!!!! they
don't have another rimless frame that fits my head (my head needs at
least a 137 width)
and I still need to pick a replacement for 'gary' (i'm inclined to not
pick the same frame again - since they seem to only be willing to
replace stuff one time even though it was bent on arrival - so I don't
wanna pick a frame where this could happen again)
It looks like I might need to take a refund. But I really want my
glasses.
She said she needs my pick for frames by the end of the day. I'm torn
between picking frames I don't really like, or taking a refund and
just cutting my losses.
this is my first experience with online glasses. I had problems with
quality in both pairs I purchased.
I'm revising the 'B-' grade that I gave eyebuydirect above. due to
their limited stock in larger size frames I am going to have to take a
refund. and I'm out of pocket 35 bucks for shipping.
Now giving them a C. I understand that others have had a better
experience. but i feel like they dropped the ball with me.
