Hi Dennis,
Since I bought my coupe in 1986 I've been using Mo-Gas, as did the two
previous owners. The only
problem I've had with my primer is that on the 'outstroke' it tends to be
a little damp. Not enough to
call it a leak but I can smell gas when I rub my finger on it while it's
pulled out before I push it
back in again.
As for the engine and fuel system, I've seen no sign of any problems
at all. And BTW, I carry my
gas in plastic 5 gallon containers and fill my tanks via a plastic funnel
with a very fine mesh screen
in the bottom of it which water will not go through.
I keep my coupe in an 'unheated' hangar and have yet to discover the
first drop of water while
checking the three drain cocks during preflight check.
Maybe I'm just lucky but I'm also very careful with my fuel.
