If you have the primer with the O-rings, they seem to be 1/2" OD x 1/8"
thick.

Mine (with O-rings) has a very long throw. Around 3 full inches. Makes for
quite a nice 'pump' on starting, which comes in handy in the cold and is
of no use in the heat (where I just give my Marvel carb one full stroke of
the throttle). In fact, there is so much 'flow' on the primer, that I tend
to
pull it out slowly to fill it, then not push in until I crank, for fear of

making
a bonfire. I've begun starting my cold O-200 like a fuel-injected engine,
in
fact. Crank, plunge, catch, mixture rich, throttle.

Interestingly, that's the recommended technique for our CAF L6.
