Because, I always had to bring my C in at over 70 mph, because if I wasn't on the ground by 60, it would fall out of the sky in short order. The C is a pussycat compared with the D. Experiences seem to vary, though. Some C's seem to do a 'bird on a post' landing pretty nicely. Others seem to go 'thud.'
