Thanks for bringing up the discussion.  I'd like to see a good analysis.

If anyone out there has a metal wing and a fabric wing off the plane and
can
weigh it, that'd be pretty good, too.

Yes Harry you are probably right.
I just wrote this out of memory and I will find out the actual weight of
one square foot 0.020 aluminum and put that into calculation - also
rivets.

40 pounds more than a ragwing is just way too much in my eys.

I think they come even - ragwing or metal wing.
