In the past ten or so years there has been to airports that got caught selling contaminated AV gas in my area. That is a area about 100 mile radius I just wonder how many have not been caught. I know this for a fact because I have a new engine at no cost to me from one of them. I have used auto gas in several A/C with never a problem and I have a friend that has a 182 he bought new and has always used auto gas and again no problems. All fuel needs to checked thats one reason for sump drains. Like some one else said that is why they call you pilot in command. You preflight and make sure every thing is ok.
