The changes weren't hoisted. We had over a year to use the new compose. We
were also told that it would eventually be permanent. Did you provide

The only difference is one single click to expand the ellipsis. There is a
neat keyboard trick too, press Ctrl-Shift-A (editor command for
select:none, opposite of Ctrl-A to select:all). If you wish to select and
delete text from your cursor to the end, simply press Ctrl-Shift-End
followed by Del. This is common for most applications with an editor.
