Thanks Marko - This helped a lot. Everything works as you said it would. I
can't see my emails, as such, in the Thunderbird/Profiles folder (or
whatever the proper name for that is), but the file size is much larger
than the file size of the program, so I assume the emails and Archives are
backed up. I'll have to check that by doing a backup and seeing if I can
read the Archives (which are the most important thing) in that backup. I'm
going in for surgery in a few hours, so the Thunderbird backup will have to
wait a few days. If I'm having trouble I'll get back to you and the rest of
the group - but it will probably go fine.

Still can't import gmail Contacts into T-bird unless we convert Contacts
into text file or V-card file, but I'll work on that too.
