Agreed, the overriding principle should always be KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid!
:-)

My understanding is that the NHCTC site is hardware-rich, so we should have the
environment to run a bunch of systems if we can find the personnel. We do need
to maintain the priority focus on the core demos, those that I'd originally
listed where what I'd seen in the the earlier discussion on this list that seemed
to hit the standard business and professional users. I'd expect that apps like
the GIS would be sideshows (apologies to any gis afficiandos :-) to show the
breadth and depth of Linux apps, but managed to avoid distracting from those core
demos.

The one app I'd really really love to show is the Lotus Notes Domino server on
Linux! I'm not sure how much Notes expertise we have, although someone (was it
Jeff Smith?) mentioned having a copy of this. It would be nice to have a working
demo app based on this product, because it's such a well-known industry standard
that just having it running on Linux says a lot about IBM's commitment to the
platform. Unfortunately I don't think the Notes client runs on Linux, I'd love
to find out that it does (or to discover that it works under WINE ?! ), does
anyone else know anything about this?

Thanks!
