I have mixed feelings about job postings to the list.
It's a two-edged sword, it's good for employees looking to move
and employers looking to hire, but it might be a strong negative for
employers not wanting their employees to be tempted.
More personally, since I have no interest in such posts, they add noise
devoid of signal to my input queue.
Since there seem to be quite a few such posts, and they may be becoming
more frequent, perhaps there should be an alternative to mail on the list. I'm
thinking of some sort of a BBS, would it make sense for GNHLUG to host
a facility for posting job openings onto a web server (with expiration dates,
please!)? Or is this making a mountain out of a molehill?
