Well, I hardly think this list is going to be the first place people start
looking. There are I don't know how many websites devoted to hi-tech jobs
around, and anyone not aware of the current market situation right now has
been living under a rock for a few years. This is a geek list, not a PHB
controlled environment. The list was opened up to all things Linux a long
time ago. IMO, that includes job postings. However, I do believe it should
be restricted to members of this list. I don't favor allowing every
headhunter the chance to spam the list with postings.

You need a mail filter Bruce :) Start filtering out all the stuff you don't
want to see; procmail works great for that.

I would not consider 2 or 3 posts in a weeks time prevalent. I don't feel that
there have been that many job postings on this list. Additionally, those that
have been posted have been by people who have been on this list for some time
and we all know.
Additionally, I find it reassuring to know there are people on this list
working for growing companies who have invested in Linux.
