Time and time again I see the same thing "put the [h|cr]acker in jail and
throw away the key. its their fault, not the admins".

That way of thinking would be justifiable (sp?) in a perfect world, but as
we all know, this world isnt perfect. There will always be the rogue element
in existance. Should they be punished for their actions? Absolutely. But
what about something constructive? Instead of locking them up for years and
forgetting about them, how about they do some community service. Help clean
up a neighborhood, or have them give lectures on security?

Admins and end-users need to start taking some responsibility for themselves
too. All too often they want their hands to be held. Is it the hackers fault
for breaking into your system and doing whatever to it? Yes. But it is also
your fault for not keeping up to date on security. If you cant handle it,
perhaps you shouldnt be an admin.
