Hi Paul,

As Geert pointed out, you're using a Business Account (A/Receivable).
Those are special, and yes, those always default to double-line mode
because they are designed to be used with the Business Features.
You should never manually enter transactions into a A/R or A/P account.
If you are NOT using the Invoice/Bill features then you shouldn't use an
A/R or A/P account type.  You should use a regular Asset (or Liability)
account instead.
