Richard, It’s great that you’re able to do payroll by hand for your situation. I think it’s unlikely that would be widely true of GnuCash users.
I made a Bugzilla account for you (credentials sent separately) so you can file your enhancement request, but I’ll repeat once again that it’s not likely that anyone will do anything about it, especially in the timeframe you seem to need.
