But the stadium is an emotive issue for me, as it is for so many other sports lovers from the city. We have waited more than a decade for it to come up, but nothing seems to happen on this front. So many promises have been made by so many people, from both the BJP and the Congress camps, but none have been fulfilled. The most recent promise made was to level the ground by August to enable the locals to play, but even that has not happened. It is so very frustrating! COMMENT: Dear Sandeep, While your frustrations are noted and .no doubt. genuine, there is NO reason or excuse for CONTEMPT. That is the stuff that describes politicians. >From the little I know, Prof George Pinto is NO altu-faltu person. He also isn't one who is just a disordeiro or a "All Talk No Action" individual. Just because he does not try to grab newspaper headlines every other day, does not mean that one has to be summarily dismissive of his ideas. IMHO, his ideas are quite logical. They may not be what the citizens/residents of Panjim/Ponnje want ....and so be it. But, let's be reasonable and appropriate with educated individuals who are making their viewpoint known. You may be right and the other may be wrong, but for Heaven's Sake ....what is this arrogance about? Even your alleged Sorry was (to use Anil Desai's terminology) (I paraphrase) as good as Sehwag's batting. jc
