Hi - wanted to follow-up on the conversation around concerns with our
involvement with FIFA and the World Cup in Brazil.

Just want to make sure the intentions of the teams who worked on this campaign
are clear. We are aware of the allegations against FIFA and in no way do we
sanction their actions, nor of any government or commercial entity involved in
the organization of the World Cup in Brazil (or the following editions in
Russia and Qatar).

What we do support are the positive values associated with football as an
inclusive sport that requires team work, levels the playing field and provides
opportunity for people to pursue their passions. My internal note didn't mean
to suggest that Mozilla values and those of football are the same, but was
merely an invitation to explore the connections between our mission and other
areas of every day life a lot of people may be more familiar with. We think
this is a great way to get people to know about who we are and what we stand
for. And the Goal.com sidebar is a great way to enable football enthusiasts
everywhere to follow their favorite teams.

That said, this conversation has definitely reinforced the importance of
tapping into our global community more as we evaluate promotional
opportunities. Our engagement team is in the process of creating new
contribution pathways, and this highlights a great area to develop.
