Full MS SQL at each end. Some sort of replication happening.
Remote clients ask remote SQL server for patient file.
Remote SQL server has full list patient demographics.(sync'ed whilst on same
LAN)
If remote server has not cached a copy it pulls it over WAN.
If remote server has a cached copy it opens that but whilst doing so checks
each field is current compared
To primary server. That seems to be quicker than pulling the whole file
across.

Remote server talks directly to the primary server,
And
The remote clients have a mapped drive to primary and remote servers.
Also remote clients have a ODBC connection to both servers.

Terminal Services still not supported by IBA/MSS. They do use it for some
remote support though.

Yes TS server would have been heaps cheaper, Wyse terminal everywhere would
have made AdamK happy.

Andrew.
