A lot of patients who pay Taxes object that we don't bulk-bill them. They
after all pay a Medicare levy as well etc. Now if Doctors prescribe PBS
medicine within correct guidelines, don't get patients back every month for
a BP check (tablets comes in a onths supply with 5 Repeats), etc then there
will be even more money available.

Why do you pay taxes in the first place?

I am happy to see my tax money spent on public health and public education -

there is no better way in spending money.

I am deeply disturbed and extremely unhappy if it is spent on wars and
bureaucracy.

We live in times where a country can afford to feed and accommodate every
single person living within it's boundaries even if a significant proportion

of those don't contribute to the workforce - but we can do much better than
just that. We could also afford to keep every single person as healthy as
modern medicine allows, and as educated as their personal potential allows,
and we still would have ressources to spare - if we would just stop wasting
them on nonsense and trinkets.

Envy and avarice are poor counselors.
