Don't get me wrong. I agree with your thoughts on Public education, but it
hasn't worked & won't work - unless you use the big stick. Educating kids
at school about colds & Flu ? Won't work, as most kids if not all get
hammered about how bad Alcohol, drugs & smoking is. Yet - not helped.

smoking rates are down; my 12 yo can tell me how bad it is

A large % of kids won't remember what they were tought a year ago.

neither do some doctors (that's "taught")

What do we do with Migrants ? Before they can use Medicare, give them a
exam to pass on household basc Medicine ? (example: Colds & Flu's caused by
viruses, antibiotics thus useless etc)

card carrying australians are the same mate
i explain the facts, and if they demand antibiotics i might relent, and point out the further $30 they are spending will be $30 that could buy them a nice meal to go with their panadol

Frequently the same person gets caught drink driving, speeding etc. Surely
after the 1st speeding fne you have learnt your lesson ?

that's why i was disqualified in s.a. as a driver then.... i learnt that 80km/hr on a safe open road is dangerous if there's a bush for radar to hide behind

The same applies to Dr's who can't read PBS guideline. The big stick
approach helps to a degree.

helps what ?
