So how many visits by police makes a case "serious"? So do we wait till this
friend of Murali is finally picked up, branded a "terrorist", beaten
up/killed etc.  for hostinmg foriegners and then after that act.... As we
have seen most of these cases including Haneef's amounts to guilt by
association,

What Murali is pointing out ios the beginning of the process that leads to
the "serious" violations that you are talking about

The constitution of India guarantees freedom of movement and residence for
all its citizen (am not putting forward a statist argument) - that
fundamental right of this person has been violated because of his identity,
if we cannot see that as a serious violation
