No, I just wanted to know if it was safe to update _before_ trying it. But later, I found the Info.plist files for Mail.app and Message.framework, so I figured if it was just the usual, I could probably take care of it. To be safe, I saved copies of those and compared them with the new versions of those files.
In Mail's Info.plist, CFBundleVersion changed from 1077 to 1078 and in the Message framework Info.plist, both that and ExpectedMailVersion changed from 1077 to 1078, but I saw no new UUIDs. And GrowlMail worked just fine after the update, with no special action required.
