Adam:
have you considered electric GLOVES??? I have a pair of Gerbing's that go
with my electric jacket liner. Between that and my Aerostich, I was pretty
roasty-toasty. That combination is MUCH better than an electric vest. I
can't speak to electric grips, but this set up is also portable and the only
thing you need 2 of are connectors for the thermostat. I'm using Mike
Coan's Heattroller. Works nicely, and more important is relatively small!!
