I have hauled my GTS on the back of a utility trailer 800 miles with no
problems, and hauled it on the AutoTrain.  Both times I used straps to the bar
under the headlight.  I do use a turnbuckle to pull the lower half of the
hooks away from the plastic.  I also tie the rear end with my GIVI rack.  I
find it is very important to keep the tires from sliding sideways under the
bike.  I haven't had this happen with a street bike, but I have had a dirt
bike go sideways on the trailer.
