Go for it! Get the GTS. They are UNIQUE. I still have people ask me....what is that!, then I tell them its a '93 and they stand there and look in amazement. The style and design is still modern and progressive.
It is a big bike, heavy in the turns. COUNTER-STEER! But remember the 2K miles/2 week rule. Your chances of MASHING anything, car/boat/rv/bike/plane are within the first couple of weeks. Ride slow, learn the bike. Then punch it. A long time ago my friend David, walked out the door with a RaceReady Vance&Hines YZF-600. Pipes, RaceChip...the whole works. He laid it down on the 3rd corner away from the dealership and rashed the entire side and damaged his new pipes....because he wasnt used to the power before his opened it up....that and our lovely denver gravel which seems to stay around until August. 9K is too much. I paid 4700.00 for a 93, Hard Cases, Corbin Seat with removeable backrest for the passenger, 3 windshields and 24,000miles. Its been a beautiful bike....my mistress. THOR
