Only one or two ways i can see to release the seat . 1) Break the lock using a screwdriver and turn it with mole grips . 2) Use a 12inch ruler and slide it between the grab rail and the side panel , make contact with latch that has a small bar fitted to it ( it's in approximately the same place as the seat catch and can be seen through the gap between the panel and grab rail ) , then with the ruler still contacting the latch , turn the ruler towards the rear , so the force is directed forwards towards the latch , then push hard , you may want to give it a hit with a hammer . It may work , it may not , but it's worth a try if your stuck .
