Nonsense.  Consider the case where a child born with DD dies at birth,
people with dD or Dd have a 90% chance of dieing in childhood, and dd
are normal.  The population is going to be largely dd, because carries
of the D die before they reproduce.  Very few genes are present in
half the population.


The actual odds of achieving a given trait where both are recessive depends
on both parents giving the child the recessive gene.  When you increase the
number of gene sites to 2, the odds of a child getting recessives at both
sites becomes 1 in 16.

Only if the gene is present with a 50% chance; that's not likely.
