This is a weekly posting with GURPS vehicles (and the like) to the
GURPSnet mailing list. I grant the permission for all non-commercial
redistribution of my work, but I would like to know if you put it on
a website or the like. The files at omeyer.gmxhome.de are down until
I fix the automatic PDF generation, which should be one of these

Bioship Cutter v1.0 (TL14)
  Copyright 2011 by Onno Meyer

The 3,000-ton Bioship is capable of faster than light travel, but she
is normally used as a subcraft by larger interstellar ships. That gives
the Bioship Cutter time to work up properly and to gain experience.
The Cutter has a main hull about 150' long and 50' wide, with spidery
antenna clusters for the gravscanner on the bow and projector vanes for
the reactionless thrusters along the flanks and in the rear. The total
length is 200'. Unlike her larger cousins, she handles reasonably well
in an atmosphere, at least at subsonic speeds.
She has a spinal plasma flamer, two lateral flamers, and ten missile
defense flamers. The range is disappointing for deep space combat, but
the flamers will grow into fusion guns as the bioship matures. She has
a tractor beam as well, more a tool than a weapon.
The payload section has a central corridor/lounge with a few computer
terminals and an automed, two bunkrooms for eight human passengers, and
four cargo bays. There is no direct access to the biomechanical organs
in the main hull.

The vehicle uses the design rules from Vehicles [second edition, third
printing, December '09 errata], Robots, VXi (including the structural
volume rule) and VXii (including the armor volume rule) with the text
format from Vehicles Lite. The GM should probably set a FTL factor well
over 0.2, perhaps in the five figures for intergalactic flights.
