The idea is how many forms of an "Invasion" are there?
Not much into TL and like, some invasions can very low tech and have no real
effort once your near a planet? A ship docking in San Francisco, after
spending time in the Philippines, and not taking the time to clean their
hull before they get into port, namely to clean off any algae, crustaceans
and other life forms that are not native to SF, but would love to find a
home.. Is an Invasion, just not directed. It just happens.
Then you have a violent take over invasion, exterminate all life on Earth,
or just all humans..
Yes, TL can play into some forms.. The ones I love are the, so you have
higher tech, but does it help you at all?
Who Dares Wins, Not the tech that wins the day, its the drive and means to
win that wins the day. But higher TL can play into it, but also organization
and knowing how to use what you have to the utmost, in the terrain and enemy
you are facing.
But will think more on it, when I am rested..

Hello Mike,
the idea of an Invasion Manual will be difficult unless the TL and
available technologies are narrowed down. How expensive is surface
to orbit and FTL travel? How do sensors work? Etc. There could be
several sets of assumptions, from hard science to space opera, of
course, but answers won't translate from one setting to the other.
Also, your habit of cross-posting to several different mailing lists
makes things extremely difficult to follow unless everyone is on all
of these lists -- but then you wouldn't need multiple lists to start
with.
Can we agree to keep everything on GURPSnet?
