I wonder if there is a Bioship society of sorts? Are they all hard-wired
instinct, or do they need all kinds of training in using the tractor
beam, FTL flight and orbital mechanics? Are these bioships raised by
bioship parents or by humans?

How are they socialized? What if a baby bioship does something wrong,
like crashing into a space station and damaging the dock? Does it get a
spanking? Or is a disappointed look and using all three of its names enough?
