Hello everybody,

just a quick rules check. I want a really serious AI system for
a robot cruiser at TL15, 3E with all the nuts and bolts ...

* I'm starting with a hardened macroframe, complexity 13, 3,000
  lbs., $2,500,000.
* The genius option makes it complexity 14, $50,000,000.
* The sentient and robot brain options make it $150,000,000.
* I'm deliberately avoiding the Biocomputer option from RO9.
* A hundred of them, with the parallel computing rule on UTT32,
  are C16, 301,000 lbs., $15,000,500,000.
* The AI now has IQ 16+5 = 21, DX 16/2+8 = 16, and the ability
  to run one C16 program, or the equivalent.
* It cannot focus exclusively on a single skill, so skills will
  be C15 at most.
* A physical C15 skill program has 88 points in the skill, for
  DX+12 in a P/A skill like Gunner. The skill level is 28.
* A mental C15 skill program has 88 points as well, quadrupled
  for the equivalent of eidetic memory, for IQ+175 in a M/A
  skill like Electronics Operation. The skill level is 196.
* Skill levels of a robot skill program can't exceed the skill
  of the programmer, but that is likely to be a self-taught AI
  as well -- you program the AI at the best level you have,
  then train it up to another point, and have it program the
  successor. Repeat.

It would seem that the robot cruiser has IQ 21 and a skill of
28 or thereabouts in physical skills like piloting or gunner,
and levels in the 40s for mental skills where it will face
significant skill penalties, like electronics op(sensors) or
(commo). Skills where contests of skill are common would go
even higher, perhaps Tactics or Strategy in the three digits
if AI warships are constantly training against each other.

Organic beings or smaller robots would have no chance against
such a vast intellect, but then people don't win a tug-of-war
with a bulldozer, either. The GM would just have to keep in
mind that such a vehicle would alter the tone of the campaign
if it appears.

Any mistakes or forgotten options?

Regards,
Onno
