Inflatable and looks like a bird or like? Infiltration for sure Semi-rigid? With radar absorbing skin or camoflaged and the inside kept from being seen by radar/ir?

Unfortunately, the old rules don't do inflatables very well. Perhaps with the 4E system. Would the plane work if it is built from rigid parts? The blimp would be workable when it comes to getting a flyer through the gate, but it would be toast against a Jaffa Death Glider. (Maybe a good way to put the player characters behind enemy lines.) OTOH, airships should deal very nicely with different gravity, which could seriously trouble helicopters and planes. Lwt 2 tons would require 64,000 cf helium. Add a gondola with a bit of streamlining and drag could be 3,500. With 500 kW ducted fans it gets 65 mph, with 125 kW it gets 35 mph. The gondola is a box with six sections, engines and ducted fans snap on, the gasbag is inflated and control surfaces are snapped on. Thirteen modules. To get a halfway decent speed, a small blimp needs a lot of power. Those 500 kW are in the right ballpark for a 2-ton helicopter which will get about 200 mph. The blimp would have a higher endurance if it drifts a lot, but at full power the two options won't differ very much.
