One of the Vehicles Expansions has rules to scale crew stations for alien
operators, they just get larger in proportion to the average body weight.
There is even a precedent to use it with animals somewhere, an alien
cattle raider (I don't have the books with me right now, so I can't quote
chapter and verse). The harness crew station for an elephant would be a
couple hundred lbs.

Except that a backpack harness should be lighter and cheaper than a
jetpack harness. How much cheaper?

I'll look at the numbers for the raft. The crane sounds too likely to
dump a VIP.
